While having a big impact helping wounded warriors and their families.
Veterans carry the hopes and dreams of our nation on their shoulders. They always have. Wounded Warrior Project® Carry Forward™, delivered by CSX®, is a new 5K fitness challenge and fundraiser that unites us for one day for one purpose: to honor and support wounded warriors and their families.
There's no question that families and friends of veterans share a unique bond and camaraderie. But how you show your support for veterans is 100% up to you. Choose one of three challenges, and show veterans everywhere that you've got their backs. Your passion, like your support for veterans, knows no limits.
Carry a flag of any size, as an individual or as a squad, from start to finish at your own speed.
Load up with weights from 1-100 pounds to be carried by you or shared by your squad from start to finish.
The ultimate fitness challenge. With your squad, trade off carrying a squad member throughout the duration of the course.
Can't decide which challenge is right for you? Register now, and change your challenge any time before your event.
You can still honor veterans by participating in Carry Forward, even if you're not in San Diego, Nashville, or Jacksonville.
One of our most popular options is to host your own 5K to honor veterans in your own community on or before December 15, 2018. Register under "Virtual" and start a squad with friends and family across your community, country — or even the world! Remember, you can host your 5K on any day that works with your schedule. We ask that you complete your challenge by Saturday, December 15, 2018.
"You know what, I have a lot of buddies of mine that have been helped by the Wounded Warrior Project. I've developed a passion for running over the last year since I left the Marine Corps, so this was the next endeavor I wanted to jump into. I will probably have six or seven guys that will be joining me."
"I want everybody who participates to feel that connection that we want all of our warriors and their families to feel. Nobody can do this journey alone, and Carry Forward really represents what that means."
