Thank you for joining a movement in your community to support veterans and their families. Our inaugural Carry Forward™, delivered by CSX®, was a huge success thanks to you! We look forward to seeing you in 2019! Details coming soon.
In the meantime, share your experience with the Carry Forward Virtual Community by posting your favorite moments on the Facebook Group Page. Don’t forget to use #WWPCarryForward!
Veterans carry the hopes and dreams of our nation on their shoulders. They always have. Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Carry Forward™, delivered by CSX®, is a new 5K fitness challenge and fundraiser that unites us for one day for one purpose: to honor and support wounded warriors and their families.
No worries! You can still honor a veteran you know and love.
Here's how:
We all know the importance of teamwork in our military, and Carry Forward is no exception! Recruit your friends, family, and colleagues and stroll, walk, or jog a 5K.
Do it this weekend or any day that works with your schedule. We just ask that you complete your challenge by Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Don't forget to add your challenge. Carry a flag, load up with weights, or carry a member of your squad from start to finish to honor the weight veterans have carried for us.
Every day, 54 wounded warriors and their families sign up to receive access to free, life-changing programs offered by WWP. Your support provides these services in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care at no cost to the warriors or their families.
Spread the word. Take a picture of your Virtual 5K, and post it on social media to show veterans everywhere you have their backs. Remember to use the hashtag #wwpcarryforward so we can find you!
"You know what, I have a lot of buddies of mine that have been helped by the Wounded Warrior Project. I've developed a passion for running over the last year since I left the Marine Corps, so this was the next endeavor I wanted to jump into. I will probably have six or seven guys that will be joining me."
"I want everybody who participates to feel that connection that we want all of our warriors and their families to feel. Nobody can do this journey alone, and Carry Forward really represents what that means."
