The mission of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is to honor and empower wounded warriors. Through the WWP Host Your Own Carry Forward® 5K, you have the opportunity to connect your community or workplace with the WWP mission in a one-of-a-kind event. Every step you take and dollar you raise will help empower wounded warriors as they take on their next mission.
There are three special ways to show your support while you run or walk at your Carry Forward 5K:
Carry a flag to show
support and patriotism.
Carry a weight to represent
the responsibilities veterans bear
while serving our country.
Carry another person to symbolize
one warrior carrying another
in their time of need.
You’ll choose the location and date — Memorial Day, July 4th, Veterans Day, or anytime of year that works for you — and decide how large, or small, you’d like your 5K to be. It can be an event open your whole community, a company outing, a school-wide activity or anything in between.
Register to host your own Carry Forward 5K and select an event date, time, and location of your choosing. Once you're registered, customize your page with your event information (you can even add photos and videos, too!) Click here for information on discounted rates for WWP alumni, veterans and active duty military.
Reach your fundraising goal by asking your friends, family and community to give or join in as a participant. Be sure to download the Carry Forward 5K Mobile App full of fundraising and recruitment tools! Available on iPhone or Android 📲
Within 3-4 weeks of registering, your event participants will receive their official Carry Forward swag kit in the mail. Prefer to hand out kits in-person at your event? Contact our team today to coordinate what works best for you. Don't forget to check out your Carry Forward dashboard to access all the resources we have available to help you!
